VOTERS’ AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
The Electoral Literacy Club of MCCTE Mahe organized a Voters’ Awareness Campaign on 23 October 2023 at 11:00 AM in the college campus. The programme aimed to spread awareness about the importance of voting, promote responsible citizenship, and encourage students to participate actively in the democratic process.
The session began with an introductory address by the club coordinators, who emphasized the significance of informed voting and the role of youth in strengthening democratic values. Students were briefed on key aspects of the electoral process, including voter registration, ethical voting practices, and the importance of each vote in shaping governance.
Various activities such as interactive discussions, awareness messages, and poster displays were conducted to highlight the need for active participation in elections. Students enthusiastically took part, sharing their views and gaining clarity on procedures related to the electoral system.
The programme successfully created awareness about voting rights, responsibilities, and the importance of making informed choices.
The event concluded with a note of appreciation for the participants and organisers. Overall, the Voters’ Awareness Campaign was impactful and effectively fulfilled its objective of promoting electoral literacy among students.
