An Awareness Class on Menstrual Hygiene was organized by the IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE) in association with GVHSS Kannur on 23rd October 2025 Thursday at 4:00 PM. The session aimed to create awareness among students regarding the importance of maintaining menstrual hygiene and breaking the myths and taboos associated with menstruation. The resource person for the program was Ms. Navanya P. P, a second year B.Ed. student of MCCTE, who led the session effectively.
Ms. Navanya discussed various aspects of menstrual health, including hygiene practices, proper disposal methods, and the significance of spreading awareness to ensure women’s health and dignity. The session was highly interactive, and participants actively engaged by asking questions and sharing their experiences.
The program was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Ms. Rindhu (Principal, GVHSS Kannur). Their combined efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the event. The awareness class proved to be highly informative and beneficial, helping students understand the importance of menstrual hygiene and promoting a positive attitude toward menstrual health.
