AWARENESS ON MENSTRUAL HYGIENE

 An awareness programme on “Menstrual Hygiene” was organized by the IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with GVHSS Koduvally. The session was conducted on 23rd October 2025 at 2:45 PM at GVHSS Koduvally.

The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of menstrual hygiene and to break the stigma associated with menstruation. The resource person for the session was Ms. Anjana Das, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE, Mahe.

Ms. Anjana Das delivered an informative and interactive session on various aspects of menstrual health, hygiene practices, and the importance of maintaining cleanliness during menstruation. She encouraged students to openly discuss menstruation and emphasized that periods are a natural and healthy process that should not be associated with shame or secrecy.

The event was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal and General Co-ordinator, MCCTE. Ms. Revathy M, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, served as the IQAC Co-ordinator, and Smitha, teacher at GVHSS Koduvally, acted as the Programme Co-ordinator.

The programme concluded with an interactive discussion, where students actively participated by sharing their views and clearing doubts. The event successfully conveyed the message — “Let’s talk periods, no more shame.
