Awareness Programme on First Aid
Kallachi: An Awareness Programme on First Aid was conducted at Government Higher
Secondary School, Kallachi on 24th October 2025 at 11:20
a.m. The programme was organized by the IQAC of Mahe
Cooperative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in
association with GHSS Kallachi. The objective of the
programme was to create awareness among students about
the importance of first aid, its basic principles, and how
timely assistance can save lives during emergencies. The
session aimed to equip students with essential knowledge
and practical understanding of how to respond effectively to
common injuries and accidents. The resource person for the
session was Ms. Hafsath E.K, a second-year B.Ed. student of
MCCTE, Mahe. She delivered an informative and engaging
session on first aid techniques and demonstrated simple
methods for handling situations like cuts, burns, fainting, and nosebleeds. The
presentation emphasized the importance of remaining calm and acting responsibly
during emergency situations. The event was conducted under the general coordination
of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal of MCCTE, Mahe, with the support of Mrs. Revathy, Assistant
Professor and IQAC Coordinator of MCCTE, Mahe. The programme coordinator was Mrs.
Suchithra, Headmistress of GHSS Kallachi, who ensured smooth organization and
participation from students and staff. The programme received an excellent response
from the students, who actively participated and expressed keen interest in learning first
aid skills. The session successfully fulfilled its purpose of spreading awareness about first
aid and empowering students with life-saving knowledge. The event concluded with a
vote of thanks, marking a fruitful collaboration between MCCTE, Mahe, and GHSS Kallachi.
