Career Guidance Session for high school students
kallachi: A Career Guidance Session for high school students was conducted at
Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Kallachi on 24th October 2025 at 10:00
a.m. The programme was organized by the IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher
Education, Mahe, in collaboration with GHSS Kallachi. The session aimed to provide
students with valuable insights into various career opportunities, educational pathways,
and skill requirements to help them make informed
decisions about their future. The resource person for
the programme was Ms. Hafsath E.K, a second-year
B.Ed. student of MCCTE, Mahe. She led an inspiring
and interactive session, highlighting different streams
available after secondary education, professional
courses and vocational options in career planning.
Through engaging discussions and examples, she
encouraged students to identify their interests,
strengths, and goals to choose suitable career paths.
The General Coordinator was Dr. Sreelatha K,
Principal of MCCTE, Mahe. The IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Revathy, Asst. prof. of MCCTE,
Mahe, played a vital role in planning and supervising the programme. The Programme
Coordinator from GHSS Kallachi was Mrs. Suchithra, HM of the school, who provided
excellent support in organizing the session and motivating students to participate
wholeheartedly. Students actively participated in the session and expressed that it was
highly beneficial in understanding the diverse career options available and it helped them
gain clarity about future educational choices and career goals. The programme concluded
with words of appreciation from the coordinators, emphasizing the significance of career
guidance in shaping the academic and professional aspirations of students.
