SCIENCE LAB RENOVATION

 Science Lab Renovated in GHSS, Kallachi

A Science Lab Renovation Programme was successfully conducted at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Kallachi on 24th October 2025. The programme was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, in collaboration with GHSS Kallachi. The primary objective of the initiative was to improve the learning environment and to provide students with a well-organized and resourceful space for conducting scientific experiments and activities. The renovation work was efficiently carried out by the second-year B.Ed. students of MCCTE, Mahe — Ms. Hafsath E.K, Ms. Shilna T.V, Ms. Devananda D, Ms. Vismaya P.K, and Ms. Swathi Rajeev. The team undertook tasks such as cleaning and reorganizing the laboratory space, arranging laboratory equipment, labeling instruments, and enhancing the overall aesthetics and functionality of the lab. Their dedicated efforts helped in transforming the lab into a more conducive and inspiring environment for scientific learning. The programme was coordinated and guided by senior members from both institutions. The General Coordinator was Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal of MCCTE, Mahe, whose leadership and motivation were instrumental in the success of the initiative. The IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Revathy, Assistant Professor of MCCTE, Mahe, provided consistent support in planning and supervising the renovation process. The Programme Coordinator from GHSS Kallachi was Mrs. Suchithra, Headmistress of the school, who facilitated the arrangements and extended full cooperation for the smooth execution of the work. The successful completion of the science lab renovation was highly appreciated by the school authorities and students. The initiative served as an excellent example of community engagement and institutional collaboration, reflecting the commitment of MCCTE, Mahe, to fostering educational quality and practical learning experiences.
