The MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with Cheenam Veedu UP School, organized a programme on “Remedial Teaching” under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event was held on 22nd October 2025 at 2 pm at CVUP School.
The session aimed to enhance the understanding of remedial teaching methods among teacher trainees and school teachers. The resource person for the programme was Anurag K K, second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE, Mahe. He shared valuable insights on identifying learning difficulties among students and implementing effective remedial measures to support slow learners. His presentation highlighted the importance of individual attention, differentiated instruction, and continuous assessment in improving academic performance.
The programme was well-coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal of MCCTE, who served as the General Co-ordinator. Ms. Revathy M, Assistant Professor, acted as the IQAC Co-ordinator, , Suresh Sir a teacher from CVUP School Puduppanam, served as the Programme Co-ordinator.
The event concluded with an interactive session where participants shared their reflections and experiences related to remedial teaching. The spirit of the programme, encouraging educators to nurture each learner according to their individual needs.
Overall, the event was highly informative and motivating, providing participants with practical strategies to improve their teaching effectiveness and support inclusive education.
