An Awareness Session on Energy Conservation was organized by MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, under the IQAC, in association with GHSS Kallachi, on 22nd October 2025 at 2:30 p.m.
The session aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of conserving energy and adopting sustainable practices in daily life. The resource person, Ms. Vismaya P. K., 2nd year B.Ed. English student, effectively engaged the participants through an informative and interactive presentation. She highlighted the various sources of energy, the growing energy crisis, and practical measures to reduce energy consumption at home and school.
The talk emphasized the need for collective responsibility in protecting the environment by minimizing energy wastage. Real-life examples and visuals added depth to the discussion, making it more relatable for the students.
The programme was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, M.C.C.T.E), Ms. Revathy M (IQAC Coordinator & Assistant Professor, M.C.C.T.E), and Ms. Sujithra (HM, GHSS Kallachi). The active participation of students and teachers made the event a great success.
The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer round and a vote of thanks, leaving the participants motivated to contribute to a more energy-efficient future.
