TEACHING ABOUT LOCAL HISTORY AND LANDMARK

A session on Local History and Landmarks was conducted at Memunda Higher Secondary School on 22/10/25 at 3:15 PM by Vyshnavi V. The objective of the session was to create awareness among students about the historical significance and cultural heritage of their own locality. Important local landmarks, historical sites, traditional practices, and notable personalities connected to the region were introduced and discussed. The session helped students understand the value of preserving and respecting their cultural identity.

Students actively engaged in the discussion, shared what they knew about their surroundings, and expressed interest in exploring local heritage further. The session encouraged them to develop pride in their locality and to contribute to protecting historical places. Overall, the class was informative, interactive, and successful in promoting a deeper appreciation of local history among students.
