The IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with GHSS Kallachi, organised an Awareness Programme on First Aid on 24th October 2025 at 2:30 p.m. The session was held at GHSS Kallachi.
The resource person for the programme was Ms. Shilna T.V, a second-year B.Ed. student from MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe. She delivered an informative and interactive session on the importance of first aid and the essential steps to be taken during medical emergencies.
Ms. Shilna explained various first aid techniques for common injuries such as cuts, burns, fainting, and fractures. She also demonstrated basic first aid procedures, emphasizing the significance of remaining calm and acting promptly during emergencies. The participants actively engaged by asking questions and clarifying their doubts.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE, Mahe) as the General Co-ordinator, Mrs. Revathy (Assistant Professor, MCCTE, Mahe) as the IQAC Co-ordinator, and Mrs. Sujithra (Headmistress, GHSS Kallachi) as the Programme Co-ordinator.
The awareness session proved to be highly beneficial for the participants, as it enhanced their knowledge of first aid and encouraged them to act responsibly in times of need. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the organisers and the valuable contribution of the resource person.
