Library Improvement and Arrangement
On 23/10/2025, I, Fathimathe Shasna, actively participated in the Library Improvement and Arrangement activity conducted at Memunda Higher Secondary School from 1:45 p.m. onwards. The main objective of this activity was to organize and improve the condition of the school library to make it more systematic and appealing for students and teachers. Under the guidance of the school librarian, we began by cleaning the shelves, dusting the books, and removing old or damaged materials. Books were then sorted and arranged properly according to subjects and classes to make them easily accessible. Labels and sections were updated to ensure clarity and order, and the reading area was tidied up to create a pleasant atmosphere for readers.
Through this activity, I realized the importance of maintaining a well-arranged and resourceful library in promoting students’ reading habits and academic growth. It provided me with a sense of responsibility and teamwork as we worked together to improve the school’s learning environment. The experience also helped me develop organizational skills and an appreciation for the role of libraries in supporting education. Overall, the library improvement and arrangement session was a meaningful and productive experience that contributed positively to both the school and my personal development.
