Local History and Landmark Session

On 23rd October 2025, a session on Local History and Landmark was conducted at Memunda Higher Secondary School at 12:30 p.m. by teacher trainee Fathimathe Shasna. The objective of the session was to make students aware of the rich historical and cultural heritage of their local area. The teacher introduced important landmarks, historical sites, and notable personalities associated with the region, helping students understand their community’s past and its significance in shaping the present.

Students showed great enthusiasm and curiosity during the session, actively participating in discussions and sharing what they knew about local places of importance. The activity helped develop a sense of pride, identity, and belonging among the learners. It also encouraged them to preserve and respect their local heritage.
