Electric Shock Awareness Programme
An Electric Shock Awareness Programme was organized by MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE) in association with Sanskrit HSS on 24th October 2024 at 12:40 pm. The programme aimed at educating students on the dangers of electric shock and the necessary safety measures to be followed in order to prevent electrical accidents.
The resource person for the session was Athira C.V, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE. She delivered a highly informative and engaging session, focusing on basic electrical safety rules, common causes of electric shock, and the immediate steps to be taken when someone encounters an electrical hazard. She also highlighted first-aid measures for electric shock victims and the importance of avoiding risky behaviors around electrical appliances and power lines.
The session was very interactive as students actively participated, asked relevant questions, and shared their own experiences regarding electrical safety. The resource person encouraged students to be more cautious and responsible in their surroundings to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
The programme was effectively coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCTE), Ms. Revathy M (IQAC Co-ordinator, MCTE), and Mr. Sudheesh Babu (Principal, Sanskrit HSS). Students expressed positive feedback, stating that the session was extremely useful, practical, and helped them gain awareness of crucial life-saving knowledge.
