MANAGING SCREEN TIME

 The Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, through its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully conducted an essential awareness session titled "Managing Screen Time" on October 24, 2025, at 3:00 PM. This crucial program was organized in collaboration with Govt. Middle School (GMS), Mahe, to address the growing concern regarding excessive screen usage among students and its impact on their physical and mental well-being. The session was strategically overseen by the co-ordinating team: Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE, and General Co-ordinator), Ms. Revathy M (Asst. Prof., MCCTE, and IQAC Co-ordinator), and Mr. Ajith Prasad (HM, GMS, and Programme Co-ordinator), ensuring broad relevance and successful execution.

The highlight of the event was the informative and engaging presentation delivered by the Resource Person, Devangana R, who provided the audience with practical strategies and research-backed insights into promoting healthy digital habits. Her talk covered the signs of excessive screen time, the benefits of digital detox, and methods for establishing realistic time limits and engaging in screen-free activities, offering actionable advice for both educators and students. The session achieved its objective of raising awareness about responsible technology use and providing tangible solutions for managing the digital devices prevalent in daily life, thereby contributing positively to the overall well-being and academic focus of the participants. The successful collaboration between MCCTE and GMS underscores their mutual commitment to the holistic development of students and teachers.
