An Awareness Session on Electric Shock was organized by MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, under the initiative of IQAC in association with GHSS Kallachi, on 24th October 2025 at 9:45 a.m.
The session aimed to create awareness among students about the causes, prevention, and first aid measures related to electric shock. The resource person for the session was Ms. Vismaya P K, a 2nd-year B.Ed. English student of MCCTE.
Ms. Vismaya conducted an informative and interactive session, explaining the precautions to be taken while handling electrical devices and how to respond effectively in case of an electric shock emergency. Visual aids and real-life examples made the presentation engaging and easy to understand.
The session was well-received by the students, who actively participated and clarified their doubts. The programme concluded with an interaction and feedback session.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Ms. Sujithra (HM, GHSS Kallachi). The session successfully achieved its objective of spreading awareness on electrical safety and emergency response.
