A session on Local Landmark and History was organized by the IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE) in association with GVHSS Kannur on 22nd October 2025 at 9:30 AM in the General Hall.
The session aimed to enhance students’ awareness about local historical sites and their significance in shaping cultural identity.
The resource person for the session was Ms. Ashima Kokkadan, a Second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE. She presented an engaging and informative talk on notable landmarks and the rich historical background of the region. Through her session, participants gained valuable insights into the importance of preserving local heritage and understanding the historical context of their surroundings.
The programme was coordinated efficiently under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Ms. Rindhu (Principal, GVHSS Kannur).
The session concluded with an interactive discussion where participants actively shared their views and experiences related to local landmarks. The event was highly informative and inspired students to appreciate and explore the historical and cultural richness of their locality.
