An awareness session on “Menstrual Hygiene” was organized by the IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, in collaboration with GHSS Kallachi, on October 24, 2025, at 9:30 AM. The primary objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about the importance of maintaining proper menstrual hygiene and to break the myths and taboos surrounding menstruation.
The session was handled by Ms. Chandana Rajesh, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE, Mahe. She conducted an informative and interactive discussion emphasizing the significance of personal hygiene during menstruation, healthy menstrual practices, and the importance of awareness and openness regarding menstrual health among adolescents.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE, Mahe (General Coordinator); Mrs. Revathy, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, Mahe (IQAC Coordinator); and Mrs. Sujithra, Headmistress, GHSS Kallachi (Programme Coordinator).
