Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, proudly celebrated the excellent academic performance of its students in the Pondicherry University II Semester B.Ed. Examination.

The college achieved commendable results, with 70 students securing Distinction and 15 students securing First Class. The outstanding performance reflects the students’ dedication, perseverance, and consistent academic efforts, supported by the guidance of the faculty.

A special achievement was recorded by Ms. Nivitha S Anil, a B.Ed. student specialising in Social Science, who secured the II Semester Topper position with an impressive 86.96%.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

 

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

A Blood Donation Camp was organised at Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, by the Ektha College Union, in association with Blood Donors Kerala (BDK), on 11 September 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the College Auditorium.

The programme was organised with the objective of promoting the importance of voluntary blood donation and creating awareness among students and staff about their role in saving lives. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE.

The inauguration was followed by an awareness session on the significance of blood donation. The representatives of Blood Donors Kerala explained the importance of regular voluntary blood donation and the role of young people in meeting the needs of patients requiring blood. The participants were also given necessary instructions and guidance regarding the donation procedure.

Students and members of the teaching and non-teaching staff actively participated in the camp. The blood collection and related procedures were carried out under proper supervision, ensuring the safety and well-being of the donors. The enthusiastic participation of the college community reflected their commitment towards social service and humanitarian causes.

The camp was successfully conducted with the cooperation of Blood Donors Kerala, Ektha College Union and the college authorities. The programme provided an opportunity for the members of the institution to contribute to society in a meaningful way and reinforced the message that a single blood donation can help save lives.

The Blood Donation Camp was thus a valuable social initiative that promoted compassion, responsibility and the spirit of giving among the students and staff of MCCTE.

Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, proudly celebrated the outstanding academic achievement of the B.Ed. 2024–26 batch, which secured an impressive 100% result in the B.Ed. examination conducted under Pondicherry University.

The batch demonstrated remarkable academic performance, with 93 students securing Distinction and 4 students securing First Class. The achievement reflects the dedication and consistent efforts of the students, faculty members, and the institution.

A special highlight of the result was the exceptional performance of the B.Ed. Topper, Ms. Bhavana A (English), who secured 89%, and the IV Semester Topper, Ms. Surmina V (English), who secured 91.89%.

The Ektha College Union of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organised a Teachers’ Day Celebration on 7 September 2026 at 3:30 p.m. The programme was organised to express gratitude and appreciation towards the teachers for their valuable contributions, guidance, and dedicated service in the field of education.

The celebration provided an opportunity for the student teachers to acknowledge the efforts of their teachers and to celebrate the meaningful relationship between teachers and students. The programme also highlighted the important role of teachers in shaping the academic, personal, and professional development of students.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K., Principal, MCCTE, who served as the General Coordinator. Mr. Arun U., Vice-Principal, MCCTE and IQAC Co-ordinator, and Mr. Pradyoth S., Assistant Professor, MCCTE and Union Advisor, provided guidance and support for the successful conduct of the programme.

RED RIBBON DRAMA COMPETITION

A Red Ribbon Drama Competition was conducted at MCCTE, Mahe, on 10 September 2026 at 3:30 p.m. as part of the institution's awareness and social responsibility initiatives.

The programme aimed to create awareness among students about HIV/AIDS prevention, transmission, stigma, and the importance of compassion and social responsibility. The drama competition provided the students with an engaging platform to communicate important health and social messages through creative performances.

Students actively participated in the competition and presented meaningful dramas highlighting various aspects of HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. Through their performances, they conveyed messages about safe practices, awareness, empathy, prevention, and the need to eliminate discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS.

The programme was informative as well as entertaining, enabling students to understand a serious social issue through an effective performing-arts approach. The active participation and creative presentations of the students contributed to the success of the event.

The competition concluded with appreciation for the participants and their efforts in spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS. The event served as a valuable opportunity to promote health awareness, social responsibility, empathy, and a stigma-free society among the students of MCCTE, Mahe.
