Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Class
A class on Menstrual Hygiene was conducted by Anusree. A. K (English Department) on 22nd October 2025 (Wednesday) at 3:10 p.m. in Govt. Higher Secondary School, Pattiam.
The session aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of maintaining proper menstrual hygiene and to break the taboos associated with menstruation. Anusree teacher began the session by explaining the biological aspects of menstruation in simple and understandable terms. She highlighted the significance of cleanliness, proper sanitary practices, and a healthy diet during the menstrual period.
Interactive discussions were held to clear misconceptions and encourage students to ask questions freely.Also stressed the importance of emotional well-being and self-confidence during menstruation. Demonstrations on the correct use and disposal of sanitary products were provided to ensure practical understanding.
The session was informative and engaging, helping students gain confidence and awareness about personal hygiene and health. The class concluded with a short feedback session where students expressed gratitude for the valuable knowledge shared.
