The IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with GHSS Kallachi, organised a Yoga and Wellness Session on 13th October 2025 at 11:30 am at GHSS Kallachi.
The session aimed to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being among students and to highlight the importance of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The resource person for the programme was Ms. Shilna T. V, a second-year B.Ed. student from MCCTE, Mahe.
Ms. Shilna led the participants through simple yoga postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. She also explained how regular yoga practice enhances concentration, reduces stress, and improves overall wellness. The students actively participated and expressed enthusiasm throughout the session.
The programme was well coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE, Mahe), Mrs. Revathy (IQAC Coordinator and Assistant Professor, MCCTE, Mahe), and Ms. Sujithra (Headmistress, GHSS Kallachi). The event successfully created awareness about the significance of yoga and encouraged students to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
