The IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with GHSS Kallachi, organised an Energy Conservation Awareness Programme on 13th October 2025 at 2:00 pm at GHSS Kallachi.
The session aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of conserving energy and adopting sustainable practices in daily life. The resource person for the programme was Ms. Shilna T. V, a second-year B.Ed. student from MCCTE, Mahe.
Ms. Shilna delivered an informative and engaging talk on various methods of energy conservation, the impact of energy wastage on the environment, and the role of individuals in promoting sustainable energy use. The session included interactive discussions and practical suggestions for saving energy in households and schools.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE, Mahe), Mrs. Revathy (IQAC Coordinator and Assistant Professor, MCCTE, Mahe), and Ms. Sujithra (Headmistress, GHSS Kallachi). The event was well received by the participants and successfully achieved its objective of spreading awareness about energy conservation.
