🌍 Report on Awareness Programme on "Earthquake Preparedness"
An essential awareness programme on "Earthquake Preparedness and Safety Measures" was successfully conducted at GHSS Kallachi on 17th October 2025 at 03:30 p.m. The vital session was jointly organized by the IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) of the MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, MAHE, in association with GHSS Kallachi.
The Resource Person for the session was Ms. Gopika G, a talented second-year B.Ed. student from MCCTE, MAHE. The programme aimed to equip students with critical knowledge about earthquake hazards, immediate actions to take during a seismic event, and fundamental post-disaster safety protocols. Ms. Gopika utilized engaging visuals and practical scenarios to explain the "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" technique, emphasizing the importance of staying calm and having a pre-planned family emergency kit.
