The IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with GHSS Kallachi, organized an Awareness Session on “Money Saving” on October 13th at 12:00 pm.
The session aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of saving money and developing financial discipline from a young age. The theme of the session, “Save money today, secure your future tomorrow!”, emphasized the value of financial planning for a stable future.
The resource person for the session was Ms. Vismaya P K, a 2nd-year B.Ed. student (English) from MCCTE, Mahe. She effectively interacted with the participants, explaining practical ways of saving money, budgeting habits, and the benefits of early financial planning. The talk was engaging and informative, encouraging students to adopt responsible financial behavior.
The programme was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE & IQAC Coordinator), and Ms. Sujithra (Headmistress, GHSS Kallachi).
The session concluded with positive feedback from the students who expressed that the programme inspired them to start saving money wisely.
Overall the event was great success in promoting financial awareness among students.
