DEBATE COMPETITION CONDUCTED BY LITERARY CLUB OF MCCTE MAHE
The Literary Club of MCCTE, Mahe organized an engaging and intellectually stimulating Debate Competition on 3 March 2025 at 11:00 AM in the college campus. The event aimed to enhance critical thinking, public speaking skills, logical reasoning, and confidence among student-teachers.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by the club coordinators, who emphasized the importance of debating as a platform for developing analytical abilities and articulating ideas effectively. Students were briefed on debate rules, evaluation criteria, and the selected topics for the competition.
Participants actively engaged in the debate, presenting well-structured arguments supported by relevant examples and logical reasoning. The opposing teams showcased confidence, clarity, and strong rebuttal skills, leading to a lively and thought-provoking exchange of viewpoints. The sessions encouraged students to listen attentively, think critically, and respond constructively.
A panel of faculty members served as judges, evaluating the participants based on content, clarity of speech, argument strength, presentation skills, and teamwork. The best performers were recognized and appreciated for their outstanding contributions.
Overall, the Debate Competition was a successful and enriching event that promoted intellectual engagement, effective communication, and academic excellence within the college community.
