The Health Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Poster Making Activity on 28th March 2025 at 11:30 AM in connection with National Drug Addiction Day. The programme aimed to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and to encourage students to take an active stand against addiction.

The session began with an introduction to the significance of National Drug Addiction Day, emphasizing the need for strong preventive measures and awareness among youth. Students were encouraged to use their creativity to highlight the harmful effects of drugs and promote healthy, drug-free living.

Participants enthusiastically created posters focusing on themes such as:

  • Consequences of drug addiction

  • Importance of awareness and prevention

  • Youth responsibility in combatting substance abuse

  • Promoting a drug-free society

Each poster displayed thoughtful messages, artistic presentation, and strong visual impact. The activity gave students an opportunity to creatively express their perspectives on social responsibility while deepening their understanding of drug-related issues.

The posters were evaluated based on creativity, clarity of theme, visual appeal, and effectiveness of the message. Participants received appreciation for their meaningful contributions.

The programme concluded with a brief awareness message, encouraging students to spread the importance of staying drug-free and supporting others in making healthy choices.
