BOOK DISCUSSION AND REVIEW SESSION CONDUCTED BY LITERARY CLUB OF MCCTE MAHE
The Literary Club of MCCTE, Mahe organized an insightful Book Discussion and Review Session on 1 April 2025 at 11:00 AM in the college campus. The programme aimed to foster reading habits, enhance critical thinking, and develop students’ abilities to analyze and review literary works effectively.
The session began with a welcome address by the club coordinators, who highlighted the importance of book discussions in deepening literary appreciation and encouraging reflective reading. Participants were invited to present their chosen books, focusing on themes, plot structure, characters, writing style, and overall impact.
Students shared thoughtful and well-articulated reviews, reflecting a wide range of literary interests from fiction and poetry to biographies and contemporary literature. The discussion encouraged participants to engage with differing perspectives, ask questions, and explore new genres.
Faculty members offered constructive feedback, guiding students on effective review techniques such as critical evaluation, contextual understanding, and personal reflection. The session created a stimulating learning environment that promoted confidence and intellectual exchange.
