ZUMBA AND NUTRITION WORKSHOP

The Zumba Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Zumba and Nutrition Workshop on 31st March 2025 at 3:30 PM as part of its initiative to promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyle awareness among students.
The workshop began with a warm welcome by the club coordinators, followed by a brief introduction to the purpose of integrating Zumba-based fitness with essential nutrition education. The session aimed to help students understand the importance of combining regular physical exercise with proper dietary habits for overall well-being.
The programme consisted of two segments:
1. Zumba Fitness Session:
An energetic Zumba workout was led by the instructor, featuring rhythmic warm-ups, cardio-rich steps, and lively choreography. Students participated enthusiastically, enjoying the high-energy routines that boosted stamina, coordination, and positivity.
2. Nutrition Awareness Session:
The second half of the workshop focused on educating participants about balanced diets, nutrient-rich foods, hydration, and healthy eating practices that complement active lifestyles. Practical tips were shared to help students maintain fitness and build better nutritional habits.
The interactive format of the workshop kept participants engaged throughout. The combination of movement and health education offered a holistic approach to wellness, making the session both enjoyable and informative.
The programme concluded with a short feedback interaction, where students expressed appreciation for the initiative and interest in attending similar wellness-focused activities in the future.
