Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe
Date: 12 March 2025 | Time: 10:45 AM

The Mathematics Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, organised a Seminar on Mathematics on 12 March 2025 at 10:45 AM. The programme aimed to deepen students’ understanding of mathematical concepts and encourage academic discussions that strengthen analytical and pedagogical skills among future teachers.

The event commenced with a welcome address by the club coordinator, who highlighted the importance of seminars in promoting scholarly communication and advanced learning. The session featured presentations by student teachers on various mathematical themes, including geometry, algebra, number theory, mathematical modelling, and the applications of mathematics in daily life.

Each presenter explained their topic using charts, slides, and examples, making the concepts clear and engaging. The seminar provided a platform for participants to enhance their communication skills, develop confidence, and practise effective teaching techniques. Faculty members offered constructive feedback, helping students refine their understanding and presentation abilities.

Interactive discussions followed each presentation, allowing participants to raise questions, share perspectives, and connect mathematical ideas to real-world contexts. The seminar fostered an intellectually stimulating environment and encouraged collaborative learning.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the principal, faculty members, presenters, and students for their active participation. The seminar successfully enriched the mathematical learning experience and motivated student teachers to approach the subject with curiosity and enthusiasm.
