MENTAL HEALTH SKIT

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Mental Health Skit on 25th March 2025 at 3:00 PM with the aim of creating awareness about mental health, breaking stigma, and promoting emotional well-being among students. The event was designed to educate students in a creative and impactful manner through dramatic presentation.
The programme began with a brief introduction highlighting the importance of understanding mental health and the need for open conversations about emotional struggles. Students presented a meaningful skit that illustrated real-life situations related to stress, anxiety, peer pressure, depression, emotional isolation, and the importance of seeking help and support. The performance conveyed strong messages about empathy, self-acceptance, and the power of communication.
The skit effectively portrayed how mental health challenges can affect academic performance, relationships, and personal confidence. It also highlighted the positive role of friends, family, and teachers in offering emotional support. The audience watched with deep interest and emotional involvement, reflecting on the realities presented through the performance.
After the skit, a brief interaction was conducted where faculty members emphasized the importance of recognizing early signs of mental health issues and encouraged students to seek help without hesitation. The discussion reinforced the message that mental health is as important as physical health.
The programme concluded with appreciation from the coordinators, who congratulated the students for their powerful presentation and meaningful message. The Mental Health Skit was a highly impactful initiative, reflecting the Mental Health and Wellbeing Club’s commitment to promoting awareness, empathy, and a supportive campus environment.
