ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS FLASH MOB

The Environmental Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted an Environmental Awareness Flash Mob on 3rd March 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Mahe Walkway. The programme aimed to spread environmental consciousness among the public through a lively and creative performance in a popular public space.

The event began with a brief introduction by the coordinators, highlighting the need for collective action to address pressing environmental issues. The Mahe Walkway, known for its public footfall, served as an ideal venue to convey the message to a wider community.

The flash mob featured energetic choreography performed by student volunteers, capturing the attention of passersby. The performance incorporated expressive movements and symbolic gestures emphasizing themes such as:

  • Reducing plastic usage

  • Conserving water and natural resources

  • Maintaining cleanliness in public spaces

  • Protecting flora and fauna

  • Adopting sustainable lifestyle practices

Participants displayed placards and eco-friendly messages during the performance, reinforcing the importance of environmental responsibility. The unexpected and vibrant presentation successfully drew public interest, creating an engaging atmosphere.
