FILM DEBATE CONDUCTED BY FILM CLUB OF MCCTE MAHE
The Film Club of MCCTE, Mahe conducted a Film Debate on 3 March 2025 at 1:45 PM in the college campus. The programme was organized to encourage critical thinking, develop communication skills, and promote meaningful discussions on cinema among student-teachers.
The session began with an introduction by the club coordinators, who emphasized the importance of debating as a platform for expressing diverse viewpoints about films, their themes, techniques, and social impact. Students were briefed on the debate rules and the topic selected for discussion.
Participants actively engaged in the debate, presenting well-structured arguments supported by examples from various films. The opposing teams articulated their perspectives confidently, leading to a dynamic, thought-provoking exchange of ideas. Faculty members served as judges, evaluating the participants based on clarity, relevance, argument strength, and presentation.
The event concluded with constructive feedback from the judges and the announcement of the best performers. The Film Debate successfully enhanced analytical skills, confidence, and film appreciation among the participants.
