Film Review Session Conducted by the Film Club
The Film Club of MCCTE, Mahe organized a Film Review Session on 16 January 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the college campus.
The programme aimed to enhance students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and appreciation for cinema as a powerful medium of expression. The session encouraged students to engage deeply with the selected film, examining its themes, narrative style, character development, technical aspects, and social relevance.
Participants actively took part by presenting thoughtful reviews of the film. They discussed various elements such as direction, cinematography, music, screenplay, symbolism, and emotional impact. The session also created a space for students to express diverse perspectives and interpretations, enriching the discussion.
The interactive review process helped students develop confidence in articulating their views and broadened their understanding of how films reflect cultural, social, and human experiences. Faculty coordinators facilitated the session and guided students in exploring both artistic and critical aspects of cinema.
The programme concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants, reinforcing the Film Club’s commitment to promoting film literacy, creative thinking, and meaningful engagement with visual media.
