The Guidance and Counselling Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, conducted a Career Workshop on 15 January 2024 at 2:00 PM. The programme was organised with the objective of providing student teachers with insights into career opportunities, professional skills, and pathways for future development in the field of education and beyond.

The session began with a welcome address by the club coordinator, who emphasised the importance of career planning and guidance for student teachers. The resource person for the workshop delivered an informative session on various career avenues available after completing the B.Ed. programme, including teaching positions, higher studies, competitive exams, and emerging fields in education.

Participants were briefed on essential professional skills such as resume preparation, interview etiquette, communication skills, and continuous skill enhancement. The resource person also shared practical tips on building confidence, developing a professional identity, and adapting to the dynamic demands of the teaching profession.

Interactive discussions, question–answer sessions, and real-life examples made the workshop highly engaging. Students actively participated and expressed their enthusiasm for exploring diverse career options. The session provided clarity and direction, empowering student teachers to make informed decisions about their career paths.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the resource person, faculty members, and students for their active participation and contribution to the success of the workshop.
