“ENHANCE TECHNICAL SKILLS”

The IT Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a special class session on the topic “Enhance Technical Skills” on 22 January 2025 at 9:00 AM. The session aimed to strengthen students’ competency in using essential digital tools and to promote technical literacy required in the present educational and professional environment.
The class began with an introductory address by the IT Club coordinator, who emphasised the growing importance of digital proficiency for teachers and students. The resource person explained various basic and advanced technical skills necessary for effective academic work, including computer operations, productivity tools, online platforms, safe internet practices, and the use of educational applications.
Through demonstrations and interactive discussions, participants were guided on how to efficiently handle day-to-day digital tasks such as document preparation, data management, online communication, and file organisation. The session also highlighted the significance of continuous learning to keep pace with rapidly evolving technologies.
Students actively participated by asking questions and engaging in short practice tasks. The practical approach helped them gain confidence in applying technical skills in their academic activities.
The session concluded with feedback from participants, who expressed that the class was highly informative and beneficial. The IT Club acknowledged the cooperation of all students and faculty who contributed to making the programme successful.
Overall, the class on “Enhance Technical Skills” effectively fulfilled its objective of improving students’ digital readiness and technical competence.
