The Environmental Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Sustainability Awareness Programme on 5th January 2024 at 12:00 PM with the objective of educating students about sustainable living practices and promoting environmental responsibility.
The programme began with a welcome address, followed by an introduction to the concept of sustainability and its importance in addressing current environmental challenges. Students were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly habits and become responsible stewards of the environment.
The session included informative discussions on:

Role of youth in building a sustainable future
Visual aids, examples, and real-life scenarios were used to help students understand the practical applications of sustainability in daily life. The speakers emphasized the need for collective action and mindful choices to reduce environmental impact.
Students participated actively by sharing their thoughts and suggesting simple eco-friendly habits that could be incorporated on campus and at home.
The programme concluded with a pledge by participants to practice sustainability and contribute to environmental conservation. The coordinators appreciated the students for their active involvement and encouraged them to continue spreading awareness.
The Sustainability Awareness Programme was an informative and impactful initiative, demonstrating the Environmental Club’s dedication to promoting environmental consciousness and fostering a sustainable campus community.
