The Dance Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, conducted a Dance Workshop on 16 January 2025 at 2:00 PM. The programme aimed to enhance students’ dance skills, promote creativity, and encourage physical fitness through an interactive and enjoyable learning experience.

The event began with a welcome address by the club coordinator, who highlighted the importance of dance as a form of self-expression and a tool for developing confidence, discipline, and body coordination. A professional resource person led the workshop, introducing students to various dance techniques, basic movements, and rhythmic patterns.

During the session, participants learned step-by-step sequences, body posture techniques, and methods to synchronise movements with music. The workshop covered elements of classical, folk, and contemporary dance styles, allowing students to explore diverse forms of artistic expression. The resource person also shared valuable tips on maintaining stamina, enhancing flexibility, and improving performance skills.

Students actively participated, showing enthusiasm and interest throughout the session. The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged teamwork, boosted confidence, and created a lively and energetic atmosphere. Faculty members appreciated the effort and involvement demonstrated by the participants.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person, principal, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support.
