Awareness Programme on Electric Shock
An awareness programme on Electric Shock was organised by the IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE) in association with Iringannur Higher Secondary School (IHSS) on 17th October 2025 at 3:30 PM in the school campus.
The session aimed to create awareness among students about the causes, preventive measures, and first aid practices related to electric shock. The programme was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Ms. Sindhu Jayaraj (Principal, IHSS).
The resource person for the session was Ms. Rihana Fathima, a second-year B.Ed student of MCCTE, who effectively presented the topic through informative visuals and interactive discussions. She explained the safety precautions to be followed while handling electrical appliances and demonstrated basic first aid responses in case of electric shock.
The session was highly informative and interactive. Students actively participated and shared their experiences and questions related to electrical safety. The awareness programme successfully fulfilled its objective of spreading knowledge and consciousness about the importance of electrical safety in daily life.
