ICT INTEGRATION PROGRMME

ICT Integration Class was conducted by Aysha Shana. A. V at RGMHSS, Mokeri on 31st October 2025 at 2:30 p.m. The main aim of the session was to make learning more effective and interesting through the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

During the class, digital tools such as videos, presentations, and images were used to explain the lesson effectively. The use of ICT helped students understand the concepts clearly and enhanced their participation and curiosity. The students actively engaged in the session and responded enthusiastically to the activities.

The class concluded with a discussion on how technology can make learning more enjoyable and accessible. Overall, the session was interactive, informative, and successfully demonstrated the importance of ICT in modern teaching and learning.


     



Quiz Competition for Employees as part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025.

 The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe organized a Quiz Competition for Employees as part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025. The event was conducted on 31 October 2025 in the Faculty Room.

The programme aimed to promote awareness on vigilance, integrity, and transparency among the staff members of the institution. Employees actively participated in the quiz, which included questions related to vigilance principles, ethical practices, and institutional accountability.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal (General Co-ordinator), Ms. Revathy Madhusoodanan, Assistant Professor (IQAC Co-ordinator), and Mr. Arun U., Assistant Professor (Teacher Co-ordinator). Their combined efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the activity.

Overall, the quiz competition helped reinforce the importance of ethical behaviour and vigilance in institutional functioning.

The event provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their physical strength, technique, and sportsmanship. Active participation and competitive spirit were evident throughout the two-day session, making the discus throw a successful highlight of the Sports Meet

These events were organised to encourage athletic ability, speed, and competitive spirit among students. The event was effectively coordinated by Mr. Abhinand. P, a Second Year B.Ed student from MCCTE, who efficiently managed the participants and supervised the competitions.

The meet was successfully organised by MCCTE under the guidance of the IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) and with overall support from the General Coordinator Dr. Sreelatha. K (Principal, MCCTE), IQAC Coordinator Ms. Revathy. M (Ass. Prof., MCCTE), and Programme Coordinator Mr. Easa (MUMVHSS, Vadakara).

The Annual Sports Meet featured the highly anticipated Shot Put competition for the Sub Junior, Junior, and Senior categories over two days, October 29 

 The event was successfully conducted at the grounds of MUMVHSS Vadakara.

Coordinated by Ms. Saniya Suresh Babu, a Second-year B.Ed student from MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), the competition provided a vital platform to foster physical strength, precision, and athletic discipline among the students. Ms. Saniya Babu effectively managed the participants and supervised the competitions, ensuring fair play and adherence to all sporting regulations.

Throughout the two-day event, there was a display of tremendous active participation and competitive zeal. Students demonstrated excellent technique and power, making the shot put ring the focal point of energetic sportsmanship. The overall success of the event underscored its role in promoting holistic student development.

SESSION ABOUT LOCAL LANDMARK

 The MAHE Co-Operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with Chothavoor H S S, Champad, organized a session on Teaching about Local history and land marks on October 24 at 2.30 pm. The resource person for the event was Arunima S , a 2nd year B.Ed. student from MCCTE.

The main objective of this session was to help students understand the importance of local history and to develop awareness about the famous landmarks in their surroundings. The session aimed to encourage students to appreciate their cultural heritage and take pride in their locality.

During the class, she explained the meaning of local history and discussed how it connects people to their roots. Important landmarks such as historical buildings, temples, monuments, rivers, and heritage sites from the nearby area were introduced with the help of pictures and maps. The students were also told about the stories and events associated with each place to make the lesson more interesting.

To make the session more engaging, she conducted an activity where students prepared a small chart or short note about a landmark they had visited or heard about. This activity helped students relate the topic to their own experiences and understand the value of preserving historical places.

Students actively participated and shared their knowledge about different local landmarks. Their enthusiasm showed a deep sense of curiosity and connection with their community’s history.

Overall, the class was informative, interactive, and inspiring. It helped students gain knowledge about their local area and motivated them to respect and protect their cultural and historical heritage.

YOGA AND WELLNESS SESSION

 The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with GVHSS Koduvally, organized a Yoga and Wellness Session on 24th October 2025 at 1:15 PM at GVHSS Koduvally.

The session aimed to promote physical health, mental peace, and overall wellness among the participants. The programme emphasized the importance of yoga as a holistic practice for maintaining balance in both body and mind.

The resource persons for the session were Reshmina Sherin, Anjana Das, and Athira Sunil P, who are second-year B.Ed students from MCCTE, Mahe. They effectively demonstrated and explained various yoga postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises. Their presentation highlighted how yoga can help in managing stress and improving concentration and emotional well-being.

The event was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE (General Coordinator), and Ms. Revathy M, Assistant Professor, MCCTE (IQAC Coordinator). The programme was efficiently managed by Mr. Prajeesh, teacher at GVHSS Koduvally (Programme Coordinator).

The session concluded with an inspiring message that “Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame.” The event proved to be an enlightening and refreshing experience for all participants, promoting awareness about the significance of yoga and a healthy lifestyle.

On 24th October 2025, at 3:12 PM, a yoga session was organized at Memunda Higher Secondary School by Hridika Raj. The main objective of the session was to promote physical fitness, mental relaxation, and overall well-being among students. Different yoga postures and breathing exercises were demonstrated and practiced under proper guidance to help students improve concentration and reduce stress.

The students participated enthusiastically and showed keen interest in learning the various yoga techniques. The session created a calm and positive atmosphere, encouraging students to include yoga in their daily routine for a healthy lifestyle. Overall, the yoga session was refreshing, beneficial, and successfully achieved its purpose of promoting health and mindfulness.




SCIENCE LAB RENOVATION

 Science Lab Renovated in GHSS, Kallachi

A Science Lab Renovation Programme was successfully conducted at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Kallachi on 24th October 2025. The programme was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, in collaboration with GHSS Kallachi. The primary objective of the initiative was to improve the learning environment and to provide students with a well-organized and resourceful space for conducting scientific experiments and activities. The renovation work was efficiently carried out by the second-year B.Ed. students of MCCTE, Mahe — Ms. Hafsath E.K, Ms. Shilna T.V, Ms. Devananda D, Ms. Vismaya P.K, and Ms. Swathi Rajeev. The team undertook tasks such as cleaning and reorganizing the laboratory space, arranging laboratory equipment, labeling instruments, and enhancing the overall aesthetics and functionality of the lab. Their dedicated efforts helped in transforming the lab into a more conducive and inspiring environment for scientific learning. The programme was coordinated and guided by senior members from both institutions. The General Coordinator was Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal of MCCTE, Mahe, whose leadership and motivation were instrumental in the success of the initiative. The IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Revathy, Assistant Professor of MCCTE, Mahe, provided consistent support in planning and supervising the renovation process. The Programme Coordinator from GHSS Kallachi was Mrs. Suchithra, Headmistress of the school, who facilitated the arrangements and extended full cooperation for the smooth execution of the work. The successful completion of the science lab renovation was highly appreciated by the school authorities and students. The initiative served as an excellent example of community engagement and institutional collaboration, reflecting the commitment of MCCTE, Mahe, to fostering educational quality and practical learning experiences.

Kallachi: An awareness session on earthquake preparedness was successfully conducted at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kallachi on 24th October 2025 at 3:30 PM. The session was organized by the IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with GHSS Kallachi. The session aimed to educate students about the causes of earthquakes, their effects, and essential safety measures to be taken before, during, and after an earthquake. It was designed to instill awareness, preparedness, and quick response among students in case of such natural disasters. The resource person for the session was Mrs. Hafsath E.K, a second-year B.Ed. student from MCCTE, Mahe. Through an engaging and informative presentation, she explained the scientific background of earthquakes and demonstrated safety techniques like "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" using real-life examples and visual aids. The session was interactive, and students actively participated by asking questions and sharing thoughts. The General Coordinator of the program was Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE, Mahe. The program was effectively organized under the leadership of the IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Revathy, Assistant Professor, MCCTE, Mahe. Inclusive Education

On 24th October 2025, a session on Inclusive Education was organized at Memunda Higher Secondary School from 3:00 p.m. onwards. The main objective of this program was to create awareness among students about the importance of inclusivity in the field of education. The session began with an introduction to the concept of inclusive education, emphasizing that every child, regardless of physical, intellectual, social, emotional, linguistic, or other differences, has the right to learn and grow together in the same classroom environment. The teacher explained various strategies to support differently-abled learners and promote equal opportunities for all students.

Students actively participated in discussions and shared thoughtful opinions on how they can contribute to an inclusive classroom. They understood that inclusivity promotes empathy, cooperation, and mutual respect among learners. The session also highlighted the role of teachers and peers in creating a supportive learning atmosphere that values diversity. Overall, the program was highly effective in fostering awareness, compassion, and social responsibility among students, thereby strengthening the spirit of unity and equality within the school community.

This crucial program was organized in collaboration with Govt. Middle School (GMS), Mahe, to address the growing concern regarding excessive screen usage among students and its impact on their physical and mental well-being. The session was strategically overseen by the co-ordinating team: Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE, and General Co-ordinator), Ms. Revathy M (Asst. Prof., MCCTE, and IQAC Co-ordinator), and Mr. Ajith Prasad (HM, GMS, and Programme Co-ordinator), ensuring broad relevance and successful execution.

The highlight of the event was the informative and engaging presentation delivered by the Resource Person, Devangana R, who provided the audience with practical strategies and research-backed insights into promoting healthy digital habits. Her talk covered the signs of excessive screen time, the benefits of digital detox, and methods for establishing realistic time limits and engaging in screen-free activities, offering actionable advice for both educators and students. The session achieved its objective of raising awareness about responsible technology use and providing tangible solutions for managing the digital devices prevalent in daily life, thereby contributing positively to the overall well-being and academic focus of the participants. The successful collaboration between MCCTE and GMS underscores their mutual commitment to the holistic development of students and teachers.



"MAHE: ECHOES OF HERITAGE"

 "Mahe: Echoes of Heritage"

The Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, through its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully organized a collaborative program titled "Mahe: Echoes of Heritage – Teaching about local history and landmarks" on October 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Govt. Middle School (GMS), Mahe. This initiative, undertaken in association with GMS, aimed to equip prospective teachers with the necessary skills to integrate local history and cultural landmarks into the teaching-learning process, thereby fostering a deeper appreciation for heritage among students. The program commenced with a formal gathering attended by faculty and students from both MCCTE and GMS, and was steered by the event's co-ordinators: Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE, and General Co-ordinator), Ms. Revathy M (Asst. Prof., MCCTE, and IQAC Co-ordinator), and Mr. Ajith Prasad (HM, GMS, and Programme Co-ordinator).

The core of the event was an insightful session led by Ms. Anjana OK, a second-year B.Ed student from MCCTE, who served as the Resource Person. Ms. Anjana delivered a highly engaging and informative presentation that focused on the historical significance of various landmarks in Mahe, simultaneously demonstrating innovative and practical methodologies for integrating this local context into the school curriculum. TEACHING ABOUT LOCAL HISTORY AND LANDMARK

  Teaching About Local History And Landmarks Session

A session on Teaching About Local History And Land marks was conducted by Rishinand. S (Social Science) on 24th October 2025, Friday at 2:40 pm at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Pattiam.

The session aimed to enhance students’ awareness about the rich cultural and historical heritage of their local area. Rishinand. S highlighted various important events, places, and personalities that have contributed to the development and identity of the Pattiam region. The students were introduced to the significance of preserving local traditions, monuments, and folklore as an essential part of community pride and national history.

Interactive discussions and question-answer sessions helped students actively participate and share their own knowledge and experiences related to local history. The session also encouraged them to take interest in exploring and documenting their surroundings for better understanding of their roots.

Overall, the session was informative, engaging, and effective.




FIRST AID AWARENESS SESSION

 The IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with GHSS Kallachi, organised an Awareness Programme on First Aid on 24th October 2025 at 2:30 p.m. The session was held at GHSS Kallachi.


The resource person for the programme was Ms. Shilna T.V, a second-year B.Ed. student from MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe. She delivered an informative and interactive session on the importance of first aid and the essential steps to be taken during medical emergencies.


Ms. Shilna explained various first aid techniques for common injuries such as cuts, burns, fainting, and fractures. She also demonstrated basic first aid procedures, emphasizing the significance of remaining calm and acting promptly during emergencies. The participants actively engaged by asking questions and clarifying their doubts.


The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE, Mahe) as the General Co-ordinator, Mrs. Revathy (Assistant Professor, MCCTE, Mahe) as the IQAC Co-ordinator, and Mrs. Sujithra (Headmistress, GHSS Kallachi) as the Programme Co-ordinator.

 An awareness programme on “Library Improvement” was organised by the MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe (MCCTE) under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kallachi on 24th October 2025 at 2:30 p.m.


The session was conducted at GHSS Kallachi and aimed to create awareness about the importance of libraries and to suggest practical measures for their improvement.


The resource person for the programme was Ms. Shilna T. V, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE, Mahe. She gave an insightful presentation highlighting the role of libraries in enhancing students’ learning experiences and shared innovative ideas for making school libraries more attractive and student-friendly.

A Career Guidance Session was organized by Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE) in association with CEBGHSS, Mahe, under the coordination of the IQAC. The session was held on 24th October 2025 at 2:30 PM in the High School Classroom of CEBGHSS.

The resource person for the session was Ms. Neha Fathima, a 2nd-year B.Ed student of MCCTE, who shared valuable insights on various career opportunities available for students after their school education. She highlighted the importance of self-awareness, goal setting, and exploring multiple academic and vocational pathways suited to students’ interests and abilities.

The session aimed to motivate and guide students in making informed career choices and to help them understand the significance of planning their future early. Students actively participated and clarified their doubts regarding different professional courses and competitive exams.

ELECTRIC SHOCK AWARENESS SESSION

 The MAHE Co-Operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with Chothavoor H S S, Champad, organized a session on Electric shock on October 24 at 2.30 pm. The resource person for the event was Anjali  K K, a 2nd year B.Ed. student from MCCTE. The main objective of this lesson was to help students understand the concept, causes, effects, and preventive measures  related to electric short circuits.

During the class, she explained how a short circuit occurs when the electric current flows through an unintended low-resistance path, causing excessive current and heat generation. The difference between a normal circuit and a short circuit was clearly illustrated with diagrams and examples from daily life.

To make the topic more engaging, she demonstrated simple activities using circuit models and safety equipment to show how short circuits can occur and how to prevent them. Students were also introduced to safety devices such as fuses, circuit breakers, and proper wiring techniques.

The students actively participated in the discussion, shared their own experiences with electrical safety at home, and asked several thoughtful questions. The session created awareness about the importance of handling electrical appliances carefully and following safety rules.

Overall, the class was informative, practical, and highly effective. It helped students gain a clear understanding of electrical safety and encouraged them to be more cautious and responsible while using electrical devices.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), in association with GVHSS Kannur, organized an awareness session on “Managing Screen Time” on 24th October 2025 (Friday) at 2:30 PM.


The session was conducted by Ms. Navanya P.P, a Second Year B.Ed. student of MCCTE. She delivered an engaging and informative presentation highlighting the increasing dependence on digital devices and its effects on physical and mental well-being. Ms. Navanya discussed practical strategies to balance screen use, emphasizing the importance of digital discipline, scheduled device-free time, and mindful engagement with technology.


The event was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE) as the General Co-ordinator, Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE) as the IQAC Co-ordinator, and Ms. Rindhu (Principal, GVHSS Kannur) as the Programme Co-ordinator.


The session received positive feedback from participants for its relevance and clarity. It created awareness among students and teachers about the need to adopt healthy digital habits and manage technology use effectively in daily life.
