World Vegan Day is celebrated annually on November 1st. It was established in 1994 by Louise Wallis, the then-Chairman of the Vegan Society. Its objectives are:
1. Promoting veganism and its benefits
2. Raising awareness about animal rights and welfare
3. Encouraging sustainable living and environmental protection
4. Supporting health and well-being through plant-based diets
The World Vegan Day program was conducted by Mathematics department on 4th November 2024 and it was led by Anusree
She highlighted the importance of celebrating Vegan Day and conducted a quiz program. All students actively participated in the quiz.
