The Green Protocol Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Gardening Activity on 10th October 2024 at 9:00 AM as part of its continuous efforts to promote environmental responsibility, enhance campus greenery, and encourage students to participate in eco-friendly initiatives.

The programme began with a brief introduction on the importance of gardening in maintaining ecological balance, improving air quality, and creating a calm and aesthetically pleasing learning environment. Students were motivated to actively participate and contribute to nurturing the campus landscape.

1. Gardening Tasks Undertaken

Students and faculty volunteers engaged in various activities across the college premises, including:

  • Clearing dried leaves and weeds from garden beds

  • Preparing soil for planting

  • Planting new saplings and flowering plants

  • Watering existing trees and shrubs

  • Adding organic manure to improve soil fertility

  • Arranging potted plants for better aesthetic appeal

These activities contributed significantly to enhancing the beauty and health of the campus environment.

Coordinators briefed students on:
