The Zumba Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Zumba for Mental Health Awareness Session on 10th October 2024 at 4:00 PM in connection with promoting emotional well-being and stress relief among students.

The programme began with a welcome address followed by a brief introduction on the importance of mental health, especially among students who balance academic pressures and daily responsibilities. The session highlighted how physical activities like Zumba can significantly improve mood, reduce anxiety, and enhance overall mental wellness.

The instructor then led an engaging Zumba routine that combined rhythmic warm-ups, energetic dance movements, and a joyful atmosphere. Participants enthusiastically joined the session, enjoying the upbeat music and interactive choreography. The physical activity acted as a refreshing break, helping students feel relaxed, energized, and mentally uplifted.

Following the workout, a short awareness talk was delivered, focusing on healthy coping strategies, the importance of seeking support, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Students were encouraged to prioritize self-care and make physical activity a part of their wellness routine.

The event concluded with cool-down exercises and an informal interaction where participants shared their experiences and the positive impact of the session.
