The Dance Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, conducted an Interhouse Dance Competition on 15 October 2024 at 3:30 PM. The event was organised to encourage artistic expression, foster teamwork, and showcase the diverse dance talents of student teachers.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by the club coordinator, who highlighted the importance of co-curricular activities in enhancing creativity, confidence, and cultural appreciation. The competition featured energetic performances by different houses, each presenting unique dance styles including classical, folk, fusion, and contemporary forms.
Participants delivered captivating performances marked by rhythm, synchronisation, expression, and creativity. Each house showcased its distinctive theme, costume coordination, and choreography, making the event vibrant and memorable. The enthusiastic participation and spirited cheering created a lively and engaging atmosphere.
A panel of faculty judges evaluated the performances based on criteria such as choreography, expression, stage presence, coordination, creativity, and overall impact. The judges appreciated the efforts, dedication, and discipline displayed by all participants.
After the performances, the results were announced and the winning house was felicitated. The event served as a platform for students to exhibit their artistic potential and strengthen their sense of unity and collaboration.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the principal, faculty members, coordinators, and students for their wholehearted support in making the competition a grand success.
