INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD

The MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education observed the International Day of the Girl Child on October 11th with a dedicated session to raise awareness about the rights, empowerment, and challenges faced by girls around the world. As part of the celebration, a special speech was delivered by Nandana Vinod, shedding light on the importance of supporting and uplifting girl children in every aspect of life — from education and health to equal opportunities and freedom of expression.

The event aimed to inspire students and faculty members to reflect on gender equality and actively contribute towards building a more inclusive and just society for girls. The program also emphasized the critical role that educators play in shaping an environment that nurtures the talents, dreams, and voices of every girl child.

The initiative was a meaningful step towards promoting awareness, respect, and action in support of girls' rights and aspirations.
