Photography Contest Conducted by the Transgender Club
The Transgender Club of MCCTE, Mahe organized a Photography Contest on 15 October 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the college campus.
The programme aimed to encourage creativity, visual expression, and social awareness among students by engaging them in capturing meaningful photographs related to themes of gender equality, inclusivity, and the lived experiences of transgender individuals. The contest provided students with an opportunity to use photography as a medium to communicate strong social messages.
Participants actively took part by submitting photographs that reflected sensitivity, artistic perspective, and an understanding of issues surrounding gender diversity. Each photograph conveyed thoughtful interpretations of themes such as acceptance, dignity, identity, and human rights.
The event created an inspiring atmosphere on campus, allowing students to appreciate the power of visual storytelling. The entries were evaluated based on creativity, relevance to the theme, technical quality, and overall impact.
The programme concluded successfully with encouraging participation. The Transgender Club expressed its commitment to continuing such awareness-driven and student-centered activities to promote inclusivity and social responsibility.
