The Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE),
Mahe, in association with KRHSS Purameri through its IQAC,
organized a specialized training session titled "Teaching About Local
History and Landmark" on October 15, 2025, at 2:00 pm. This program
was crucial for prospective teachers, aiming to equip them with
effective pedagogical strategies for integrating local history and
significant landmarks into the school curriculum. By focusing on the immediate surroundings, the session aimed to make history relevant,
engaging, and culturally rich for students. Ms. Krishna Theertha B. R.
served as the Resource Person, leading the discussion and offering
practical approaches for incorporating local heritage into teaching
practice.
The coordination of the event was efficiently handled by the
institutional leaders. Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE) provided the
vision as the General Coordinator. Ms. Revathi M (Asst. Prof.,
MCCTE) managed the logistics as the IQAC Coordinator,
