SCIENCE FAIR – STILL MODEL EVENT

SCIENCE FAIR – STILL MODEL EVENT

The Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe, in collaboration with MUMVHSS Vadakara, organised a Science Fair with a special focus on Still Model presentations. The programme was coordinated as part of the IQAC initiatives of the college, aiming to promote scientific curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning among school students.

The Still Model event was coordinated by a second-year student of MCCTE, who served as the student coordinator and contributed to the smooth functioning of the programme. Her involvement highlighted the active participation of teacher education students in organising academic and co-curricular activities.

The Science Fair was scheduled on 17 October at 2:00 pm and held at MUMVHSS Vadakara. The event brought together students, teachers, and faculty members, providing a platform for showcasing innovative scientific ideas through static model displays. Participants exhibited various models representing scientific concepts, environmental issues, and technological advancements.

The overall programme was guided by:

  • General Coordinator: Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE)

  • IQAC Coordinator: Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE)

  • Programme Coordinator: Farook (Teacher, MUMVHSS Vadakara)

Their combined effort ensured effective planning, coordination, and evaluation of the event. The collaboration between the teacher education college and the school enabled meaningful academic exchange and enhanced the learning experience for students.

The Science Fair successfully achieved its objective of encouraging scientific thinking and fostering an interest in science among young learners. It also provided an opportunity for teacher-trainees to engage in practical learning experiences related to event management, coordination, and academic outreach.
