INCLUSIVE EDUCATION SUPPORT

 Report on First Aid Awareness Session

The IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education in association with KGGHS Palloor conducted a First Aid Awareness Session on 22nd October 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the General Hall.The session was led by Ms. Ananya Prakash, a 2nd Year B.Ed student of MCCTE, who served as the resource person. The programme aimed to equip the participants with essential knowledge and practical skills related to first aid — an important life-saving measure in emergency situations.

During the session, Ms. Ananya Prakash explained various first aid techniques, including how to respond effectively to injuries, burns, bleeding, fainting, and other medical emergencies. She also emphasized the importance of remaining calm and acting promptly during such situations. Demonstrations and interactive discussions made the session more engaging and informative.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, General Co-ordinator and Principal of MCCTE Mahe, along with Ms. Revathy M (IQAC Co-ordinator and Assistant Professor, MCCTE Mahe) and Ms. Lizzy Fernandes (Programme Co-ordinator).

The session concluded with a note of appreciation for the resource person and organizers. The awareness programme proved to be highly beneficial for the participants, highlighting that timely and correct first aid responses can indeed save lives.
