ICT Skill Development Programme conducted
An ICT Skill Development Programme was successfully conducted at Government Higher
Secondary School (GHSS), Kallachi on 17th October 2025 at 3:45 p.m. The event was
organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell
(IQAC) of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher
Education (MCCTE), Mahe, in association with GHSS
Kallachi. The programme aimed to enhance the
digital competency and technological awareness of
students, equipping them with essential ICT skills
for effective learning and digital engagement. The
resource person for the session was Ms. Hafsath
E.K, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE, Mahe.
She conducted an engaging and informative session covering various aspects of
Information and Communication Technology (ICT), including basic computer operations,
digital tools for learning, internet safety, and the use of educational applications. The
hands-on approach adopted by the resource person made the session highly interactive
and beneficial for the participants. The event was coordinated and guided by key
members from both institutions. The General Coordinator was Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal
of MCCTE, Mahe, whose leadership and encouragement contributed to the successful
organization of the programme. The IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Revathy, Assistant Professor
of MCCTE, Mahe, extended her continuous support in planning and execution. The
Programme Coordinator from the host institution was Mrs. Suchithra, Headmistress of
GHSS Kallachi, who facilitated the local arrangements and motivated students to actively
participate. The participants expressed that the session was informative, practical, and
motivating, helping them to better understand how ICT tools can be effectively used for
academic purposes. The programme concluded with expressions of gratitude to all
coordinators and organizers for their efforts in promoting digital literacy and fostering
collaboration between the teacher education institution and the school community.
