Awareness Programme on First Aid
An Awareness Programme on “First Aid” was organised by the IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE) in association with Iringannur Higher Secondary School (IHSS) on 21st October 2025 at 2:30 PM in the school campus.
The objective of the programme was to make students aware of the importance of first aid and to provide them with basic knowledge and skills to handle emergency situations effectively.
The resource person for the session was Ms. Rihana Fathima, a second-year B.Ed student of MCCTE, who conducted the session in an engaging and informative manner. She explained the basic principles of first aid, demonstrated simple techniques to manage minor injuries, burns, cuts, and fainting, and highlighted the importance of remaining calm and acting quickly during emergencies.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Ms. Sindhu Jayaraj (Principal, IHSS). The students participated actively and expressed great interest in learning the basic first aid procedures.
The session was highly useful and educational, as it helped students understand the significance of first aid knowledge in saving lives and ensuring safety in everyday situations.
