Earthquake

 Awareness Class on Earthquake

An awareness class on the topic “Earthquake” was conducted on 14th October 2025 at 3:25 p.m. at Government Vocational Higher Secondary School (GVHSS), Koduvally. The programme was organized by the IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE) in association with GVHSS Koduvally.

The resource person for the session was Ms. Anamika C.K, a second-year B.Ed. student from MCCTE. The class was arranged for the students of class six. She presented the topic in a very simple and interactive manner, helping the students understand what an earthquake is, its causes, effects, and the safety measures to be followed during such natural disasters.

Using pictures, examples, and discussions, she made the session lively and interesting. The students actively participated and learned how to protect themselves during an earthquake.

The programme was coordinated by:

General Coordinator: Dr. Sreeleatha K (Principal, MCCTE)

IQAC Coordinator: Ms. Revathy M (Asst. Professor, MCCTE)

Programme Coordinator: Ms. Smitha (Teacher, GVHSS Koduvally)

At the end of the session, students prepared small posters and shared their thoughts on the importance of awareness about natural disasters. The class was very informative and helped students to understand the need for preparedness and safety during emergencies.
